Registration open for Mathematics Summer School and Workshop 2012

July 2-13, 2012, at FCT/UNL. This year's topic is mathematical finance and stochastic control.

The CoLab Mathematics Summer School and Workshop is a yearly event that aims at bringing Ph.D. students and junior faculty together with well known experts in several areas of mathematics.

This event will be held in the Mathematics Department of Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Caparica, from July 2-13, 2012.

The school will be between July 2-6, 2012. We have chosen the topic mathematical finance and stochastic control. The faculty for this school (Bruno Bouchard, Paolo Guasoni, Ioannis Karatzas, Mihai Sirbu, and Mete Soner) are internationally known experts in these fields. We believe that their courses will be extremely useful for Ph.D. students, postdocs and established researchers who wish to broaden their knowledge in this very active area of research.

The workshop aims at bringing together researchers in several areas of mathematical finance and stochastic control and its applications, and will be held in the week of July 9-13.

Financial support for students and young researchers may be available.
