Digital Media Doctoral Symposium, at UPTEC PINC, October 19.

The 9th edition of FUTUREPLACES is coming to Porto, October 19 to 22.
As in previous years, the event will include the Digital Media Doctoral Symposium, at UPTEC PINC, October 19.

In order to prepare the Doctoral Symposium’s agenda we would like to ask you to inform us of your interest to participate by presenting your ongoing doctoral project.

Please send your notice of intent to cap.borges@fct.unl.pt until September 23.

This year we will be welcoming Patricia Aufderheide as invited Keynote Speaker of the Doctoral Symposium.

Collaborative Creativity: How to Share the Challenge of Imagining the Future
Aufderheide discusses the collaborative and social nature of the creative process, drawing on her own research on copyright and creativity. She and colleagues at American University have worked for a decade with ten creative communities to do their work more innovatively and effectively, using copyright knowledge. She discusses how to make the collaborative process work to liberate imagination for stronger communities.
