Meeting of Portuguese and North American Researchers in the area of Emerging Technologies.

In the continuation of the previous Workshops and visits to R&D Institutions and Companies, Portuguese and North American Researchers in the area of Emerging Technologies gathered between 27 and 29 January 2015 to present the Emerging Technologies program within CoLab, R&D activities in the area of Emerging Technologies in Portugal and at UT Austin, to discuss possible collaborations and also to identify synergies and possible projects.

During the meeting Prof. Xiaoqin (Elaine) Li from UT Austin gave a Talk on “Light and Matter Interaction at the Nanoscale” at the University of Aveiro and at INL, the Round table discussion on possible collaborations between Portuguese and UT Austin researchers. Visit to FLUIDINOVA, a Portuguese Company in Porto and visit to INL, The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory in Braga. These activities are a crucial tool for the promotion of the aims of the Emerging Technologies project.
