ZON Digital Animation Advanced Lab @ UT Austin

The ZON Digital Animation Advanced Lab at UT Austin is an eight-week summer course on digital animation which will take place at the University of Texas at Austin in June and July, 2011.

The lab is sponsored by ZON in order to train professionals in a multicultural environment, offering them access to specialized instruction of international caliber.

ZON will support the costs of travel (Lisbon-Austin-Lisbon), housing (double occupancy), and a daily stipend for living expenses.  Training will be supported by the UT Austin|Portugal CoLab.

Specific dates and the finalized curriculum will be announced soon.  The course will be taught by Ben Bays and Geoff Marslett of the Department of Radio-Television-Film at UT Austin.

Applicants must be students or professionals in the field of animation and proficient in English. The selection of eight participants will be made jointly by ZON and UT Austin.

Submitted material must be in Portuguese and English.
