ABOUT THE LECTURE

A new generation of ICTs are nowadays a framework for being used in diverse areas such as humanities and arts. Virtual and augmented reality, among other technologies, such as videogames and serious games, are media which have a wide range of possibilities to develop and create experiences.

In this talk it will be presented some experiences which define the state of the art for creation of contents and experiences in digital era, with a focus in research lines and applications in humanities and cultural approaches.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Jose Luis Rubio-Tamayo, European PhD in Applied Creativity to New Media (Art, Computation, Technology), Master in Media Engineering (Univ. Poitiers), Master in Educational Sciences (University of Lisbon), Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts (Complutense University of Madrid). More of 10 years of experience as graphic, media and ux designer and researcher in various institutions, research groups and centers and enterprises.

He is currently lecturer at URJC (Madrid, Spain) in the Bachelor Degree Design and Picture Management. He has also been lecturer at UNED, and has worked as media designer, researcher and developer for several institutions in various countries (Spain, Portugal, France, Germany). He has worked for the LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, Berlin Art Junction, Houshamadyan (Berlin), National Institute for Educational Technologies (Ministry of Education, Spain) or the Complutense University of Madrid.
